City Ink

2024

In October of 2024, I participated in Big Ink led by Lyell Castonguay at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA. I printed 2, 2'x4' wood panels together to make an enormous 2'8' print. I was invited by the infamous Peter Tuchman (@einsteinofwallst) to hang my piece at the New York Stock Exchange with one caveat - it could only be one of the panels due to size constraints. My (artist) mom and I were able to successfully print each block individually at her studio and thanks to a speedy and beautiful job framing from Marjon Print and Frame Shop, half of my Big Ink print is now hanging in a specially curated gallery at the New York Stock Exchange. I’ve been a freelance photographer at the NYSE for 15 years so it is a thrill and an immense honor to have my art represented in such an iconic and prestigious place.

When I moved to NYC, I had so many friends and family members support me to find my footing, from providing couches to sleep on to drinks and meals. On my first birthday in NYC, my friend, who’s couch I was crashing on, had a birthday party for me. As an expression of my gratitude for everyone who came, I gave an ink and watercolor print of the NYC skyline I had created. This turned into a yearly tradition on my brithday of giving a new NYC skyline to anyone in my orbit. These prints, and there are many, are all 4.5” x 11”. City Ink is in honor of my 40th birthday print.
