About
Alyssa Laurel Ringler is a Vermont based interdisciplinary artist and founder of Crown in Kings Studio, a photography business that often covers the daily happenings at the New York Stock Exchange. As an artist photographing in the country’s financial capital, Alyssa finds inspiration for her studio practice observing the heart of capitalism, big tech, data mining, and global surveillance mechanisms in a rapidly expanding and integrated technological society. Her projects combine painting, drawing, photography, technology, and often audience participation. Alyssa approaches each artistic project with the intention of bridging a more sustainable and responsible integration of technology with life alongside deeper context for imagery. She received a BFA in Photography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She holds an MFA in Studio Arts from the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine.
